The Cranfield Trust
A nationally respected charity providing free management consultancy for charities and social enterprise groups involved in issues of poverty, disability or social exclusion. Highly skilled managers from the commercial sector act as Trust volunteers throughout the country. Volunteers donate their time and expertise to support the voluntary sector, providing advice and mentoring on a wide range of issues to improve management effectiveness, such as:

- Financial management
- Marketing and communications
- Developing IT systems
- Human Resources and staffing

NCVO – National Council for Voluntary Organisations
The National Council for Voluntary Organisations’ financial management website includes briefings and guidance on financial matters, as well as model policies and procedures. Other NCVO briefings, for example on trustee roles, employment matters etc, are accessible from the NCVO homepage.

The Charity Commission and HM Revenue & Customs
Both organisations have jointly set up a helpline to deal with issues relating to charity tax, charity VAT and charity law and practice. Charities can continue to use separate helplines.
