Voluntary Sector Health and Social Care
The Hounslow Health and Social Care Voluntary Sector Forum is a forum consisting of a range of voluntary and community organisations that have an interest in health and social care services in Hounslow. The forum is facilitated by CVS Hounslow and the work of the forum is supported by its Health and Well Being Development Officer, Sagal Jama. However, the members of the forum as a collective have overall ownership of its aims and objectives and future direction.
Purpose
The purpose of the forum is to provide a forum for voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations to meet on a regular basis, to aid networking/partnership working and to respond collectively on issues concerning local health, social care and well being, policy and practice.
The forum was established in June 2009 and meets quarterly. Agenda items vary and have ranged from presentations on Putting People First (Personalisation), Safeguarding Adults to The Big Care Debate.
