Published: 23 February 2010 An understanding of the Common Core will raise awareness for voluntary and third sector bodies of what the CWDC (Children’s Workforce Development Council) consider to be the essential skills and knowledge needed by practitioners (including volunteers), whose work brings them into regular contact with children, young people and families.
Published: 19 February 2010 Lambeth Law Centre are bringing their Equality and Discrimination training to West London and have offered CVS Hounslow members a half-day Seminar. Their unit is funded to do this work through the London Councils and the Law Centres Federation and CVSH Hounslow will facilitate the afternoon so that the training is free to members.
Published: 15 February 2010 Our HSE registered Emergency First Aid at Work course held on 11/02/10 filled all the allocated places and received excellent feedback from our trainees who were especially appreciative of trainer Phil Betts.

Published: 21 December 2009 A final round of Rainbow funding is now available to tenants and leaseholders of Hounslow Homes. Groups can apply for funding of between £5000 and £15,000. Applicants will be required to fill in only one application form and the closing date for applications is Wednesday 17th February. Applications will be assessed by the Rainbow Panel at the end of February.

CVS Hounslow has launched its Resources Page, for signposting services and products for use by the local VCS. These are low cost or free and we will be looking for your feedback on its improvement for wider use.

Published: 2 October 2009 CVS Hounslow members The Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club have been named as a lucky recipient of £250 worth of sports funding. They were awarded the grant from the Cash 4 Clubs scheme to help them to continue with their drugs lectures and also to assist in sending a team of 75 young athletes to Birmingham for the National Young Athletics Finals.
Published: 11 September 2009 Age Concern Hounslow have been successful in achieving a £2,500 award from Groundwork and BAA to develop their Organic Garden and intergenerational working.
The growing, harvesting and preparation of the produce as exciting recipes will be a shared, fun project to bring older and younger generations together.
