The Hounslow Local Compact (HLC) is currently undergoing a refresh, following further input from Hounslow’s Voluntary and Community Sector and other local statutory bodies. We will provide updates as and when they come in and also use this page to host the relevant information sheets.
The Hounslow Voluntary Sector Compact
The current compact for the local VCS can be found here. This is the document that is undergoing the ‘Refresh’, to be made more effective for our current climate and more encompassing of changing funding streams, including the likes of commissioning. Hounslow’s Local Compact – Forum Page
We are inviting local VCS groups and organisations to submit their thoughts on what they would like to see in a refreshed compact. The forum has been set up so that it does not require your registration, i.e. guest posting has been switched on. The forum is divided into six topic areas. We would like to have your input on each of the areas as listed below. You can post these as replies. Please note, to maintain focus of the forum, we will not be allowing for new topics to be discussed that digress from Compact related issues. Feedback Material
In addition to any new material, we will also use the feedback summary from the April consultation earlier this year to help shape the Compact Refresh. Summarised feedback from the Forum or other sources will be found in this section when they are ready for listing.
National Compact
Launched on the 16th Dec ‘09, the National Compact is an agreement between the Government and the third sector (VCS) in England. It sets out commitments on both sides to improve the way in which the Government and the third sector work together for the benefit of communities and citizens. It also provides a framework for negotiating Local Compacts. Based on this framework, we aim to harmonise the Hounslow’s Local Compact with the National Compact.
