Free Training: Working in Partnerships

Our next CVS Hounslow free training October 8th 2010, 9.30 – 4pm in Captain Cook’s Room, West Thames College London Road, Isleworth TW7 4HS will be ‘Working in Partnerships’. This course will consider the benefits and pitfalls of partnership working.

Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Funding

CVS Hounslow welcomes the return of local funding to Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities. This year the grant will be provided by the Skills Funding Agency, administered by Hounslow Adult and Community Education and CVS Hounslow and will run from August 2010 to July 2011.

Training for Trustees

We‘re the Council for Voluntary Services in Hounslow, an independent body which exists to support, advise and represent all voluntary groups based or working in the London Borough of Hounslow. Membership and our services are provided free of charge.

We are a  registered charity (No. 1080179)  and a company limited by guarantee (No. 03929263)

What we do

CVS Hounslow offers support and advice on a wide variety of voluntary and community sector issues. We also represent the views of both funded and unfunded voluntary groups in the London Borough of Hounslow.

Our services

Members can book an appointment with our Groups Development Officer for help and advice on voluntary sector issues.

CVS Hounslow runs free training for member organisations and an information service.

Our Community Accountant offers weekly finance surgeries.

We run and develop the Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s  Forums and work to ensure a voice in local decision making for the voluntary sector.

Our Aim

To facilitate the development of a socially inclusive, well informed, well trained, professional and appropriately funded voluntary/community sector that is responsive to the needs of local people.
